THIS SITE IS UNDERGOING MAJOR RENOVATIONS! PLEASE BE PATIENT.
This site encompasses a variety of things to see, including
a gallery of artwork that we (Barry Blair and Colin Walbridge)
have done. Some pre-inked pieces are sent to our computer colorist,
Mike Harkness for finishing. Once the pictures are completed,
they are shipped out to arrive at your doorstep in perfect condition.
Shipping is handled by our friend Santos Aleman. We do art for
many genres (ie. fantasy, sci-fi, history, mythology, etc.), so
the Realm Walker name seemed appropriate for the company. We are
commissioned to do pieces pieces with all sorts of themes, taking
place in any time period. We boldly paint what nobody has asked
for before.
The Realm Walkers name evolved from the term "free booters."
These were people for hire, usually warriors or ex-knights, and
technically they helped those who paid them. They were also called
"corsairs" - or pirates for hire. We mean it to be for
good people doing brave deeds for those in need, however just
looking at the term of "free booter" brought up pictues
of seedy, untrustworthy rogues. We talked it over and Barry said
the heroes would "walk the realms helping others". Bingo!
the name Realm Walkers was born.
Our Dark Ages of Camelot guild, played on the co-op server Gaheris,
and our guild on the Durotan server in World of Warcraft (Alliance),
are small fun guilds. We are not into uber stuff, or power leveling,
etc., but friendly as all get out with some of the very best people
we have met, on any of the games we have played. Most of the time
we "meet" through guild chat. There are some natural
born comedians that keep us in stitches even as we are being swarmed
by purple con creatures. The shared knowledge and skill, between
guild members, about gaming, crafting, computers, etc., is wonderful.
The members cheerfully help everybody in the guild - and many
many outside of it. Just a very nice group of good people. According
to Kimmi's (our guild leader and real-life friend) rules, everybody
is an officer and if we ever formed an alliance, even newbies
would hear and be able to respond to alliance chat. We are the
worst nightmares for those guilds who are formal, proper, and
follow the "rules."
The Realm Walkers believe that DAoC is a game that is meant
to be enjoyed.
